Beautiful textured ivory wool makes up this lovely vintage suit by Jablow. David Kidd was the designer at Jablow and his was one of the few companies authorized to make copies of Chanel suits for the American market. This suit has a bit of a Chanel flair, with its short boxy jacket and straight skirt. It has mid length raglan sleeves, and a curved dart at the bodice. 2 small front patch pockets and huge 2 button closure. It is trimmed with charcoal wool braid. Lined in silk.

The skirt is a straight pencil style, with side zip and no slits. Lined in pure silk.

Labels are Jablow, and also from the Blum's-Vogue Store. A little history about the Blum's Label:
Blum's Vogue Chicago designer label was a high end designer department store. It is no fashion secret that Blum's dressed Chicago's most fashionable women for decades. For forty years, Harry Blum, owner of Blum's Vogue would travel to Paris every season to pick out the fashion for the department store. Blum would buy from designers such as, Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy, and Mme Gres. He would also carry American designer labels such as, Norell, Trigere, Ben Zuckerman, Galanos, Werle, Ceil Chapman, etc. Basically if it were a great designer Blum's carried it.
